In our most ambitious project to date; we developed and deployed a social experiment to show how easy it is to fall into a trap that leads to trafficking, showing that truly anyone, if vulnerable enough, can fall victim.
The campaign was developed in partnership with the Brașov County School Inspectorate, with activities being implemented both within randomly selected schools and outside educational establishments.
The idea we proposed through this project aimed to make a significant difference in formal education, with the ultimate goal of transforming it, over time, into an ongoing concern for different communities to identify new catalysts for positive change in young people's lives—building communities that are as resilient as possible.
The project was funded by the Municipality of Brașov through Funding Agreement No. 47/70697/08.05.2024.

The project took place for 22 months through the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Program for reducing the economic and social disparities within the enlarged European Union.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen the assistance and protection of Romanian citizens who are victims of domestic and international human trafficking, in line with internal standards.
The total amount of the project was CHF 550,000.00. With a CHF 499,608.83 contribution representing 90.84% of the total amount and a co-financing from IOM and implementing partners of CHF 50,391.17, representing 9.16% of the total budget.

Funded by the Swiss-Romanian Cooperation Program and implemented by IOM, in partnership with the MICU Foundation, ADPARE, and People 2 People.
Its objective was to increase the safety and reintegration of over 100 victims of human trafficking. The project provided integrated services: assessment, reintegration plan, psychological, legal, and vocational counselling, in collaboration with 15 ANITP centres, 10 consulates, and 8 social protection departments.
The foundation's role included coordinating certain interventions, case management, and training. The approach focused on beneficiary participation and strengthening autonomy, using a phased intervention model. Budget: CHF 109,285.41.
Results included the sustainable reintegration of beneficiaries, the development of independent living skills, and the strengthening of inter-institutional cooperation.

The project continued its work to protect victims of trafficking, aiming to assist 15 beneficiaries (adults and minors) through specialized services and personal and professional development activities (vocational courses, professional training, support for employment and entrepreneurship).
The project strengthened collaboration with public institutions and contributed to the creation of a national coalition of NGOs (PROTECT Federation). Budget: 87,000 lei.
Results included increased autonomy for beneficiaries and the development of local support mechanisms.

Campaign in schools, as well as an online project, talking to students about human trafficking and what they can do to be less exposed and more aware.

The "I'm an informed parent" campaign, through which we distributed informational guides and brochures to parents, raising awareness among them about the risks that their children are exposed to, and that could lead to a higher vulnerability.
